I have used a Pentax Optio W-20 since 2007 and I have been swimming (snorkeling) with it totally UNDER water for many hours every summer since without any problems. Not even a single drop has been inside the camera! So when I am going to buy a new underwater camera one day I will buy a Pentax again. The competitor’s cameras (Panasonic and Olympus) are NOT designed for salt water applications. After killing 5 so called waterproof cameras in a very short time I no longer believe that there is such thing as
“waterproof” without a case. I will like to hear how you go with this camera in about a year or so.
